A Wandering Star

This is the true story of the life and adventures of Niels Svendsen who was born in 1929 from a Danish immigrant family that arrived in England. Follow Niels as he progresses from council school to Grammar school and his adventures during the Berlin Airlift when serving his time in the R.A.F. in Malta. With very little money and a small family follow Niels as he enters the News Chronicle Get Ahead Competition sponsored by the B.B.C. and wins GBP5,000 top prize. This was one of the first televised competitions in black and white and Niels was seen by millions of viewers. Now read on about his Trans Atlantic race and his involvement in yachts. Also his many other races and his eventual move to Mallorca where he sets up his own yacht brokerage Dolphin Yachts in Club de Mar. This story is special and will keep you reading until you get to the end.
